Magnums of rosé. That's how we celebrate summertime at Underbelly. For the 3rd year in a row, we’ve invited our friends to cook dinner with us paired with big ass bottles of rosé. And this year, we’re doing it all Caddyshack-style.
Two-time James Beard Award-winning chef Ryan Prewitt of New Orleans’ Peche Seafood Grill is such a rosé fan that he plans to have 30 bottles on his wine list this season. Celebrated chefs Michael Hudman and Andy Ticer also like to think pink at home in Memphis, as well as at their acclaimed restaurants Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen, Hog & Hominy, Porcellino's and Catherine & Mary’s. Cochon’s Stephen Stryjewski, also a James Beard Award winner, respects the rosé year-round in Nola.
It was this shared love—and many a shared bottle—that led this group to collaborate on a special dinner: The 3rd Annual Respect the Rosé: Caddyshack.
This multi-course meal will be a celebration of friendship, Southern cuisine and, of course, plenty of delicious rosé. Dress in your country club finest, and expect a few surprises.
Au revoir, gopher.
