It’s hard to believe Brock Wagner and Chris Shepherd have never collaborated on a beer dinner. They’ve decided to remedy the situation by creating a dinner that’s so special, 36 seats will be auctioned off and proceeds donated to charity (Hay Merchant’s neighbor Legacy Community Health Services
Underbelly food. Rare Saint Arnold beers. Conversation with Brock and Chris. This is all happening on Wednesday, March 11 at Underbelly.
Customers can expect six courses from Chris, featuring seven beers—all small production from Saint Arnold from the Bishop’s Barrel and Divine Reserve series, as well as some first releases. Most beers have been aged in Hay Merchant’s cellar, which was remodeled in December 2014 to hold upwards of 200 kegs.
The auction for seats begins February 16. Bids for two seats (we aren’t auctioning off singles) start at $160. The bidding ends on March 9, and the 18 highest bidders will receive two seats to the dinner.
