Our Food

We have a few rules at Underbelly.  We buy directly from farmers.  We only use whole animal. Our food is inspired by the cultures of Houston.  It’s all about relationships.

Our menu emphasizes Houston resources: seasonal produce, by-catch seafood from the Gulf, under-utilized cuts of meat. Chris’ fully-equipped back-of-the-house butcher shop allows him to pursue his passion for butchery and to process all of Underbelly’s meats in-house.

Our menu changes daily, based on what’s available with our purveyors, what bounty the seasons have bestowed on us and what’s happening in Houston right now that excites us. The latest story of Houston food is reflected in the following menus.
